With the Duck and Me 189 builds winding down, I took a little time to shuffle through my inventory to choose my next set. Now, I haven’t forgotten about the B-24 so I’m not getting ahead of myself here. I will resume construction very soon. There is a lot of sanding that needs to be done first.
So on to the new build list. I think I may be back into a WWII phase yet again with three out of four being from that era. All kits coincidentally are from Hasegawa. The four kits that I have chosen are a Mosquito FB Mk.VI, Kawasaki Ki48-II, Kawasaki Ki61-I, and an F-86D Sabre Dog. I am excited to be adding a few more Japanese aircraft into the mix. This should make for a fun build.
Hope you are going for the mottled camouflage on the Ki-61! That will be a challenge.

That’s the plan. I’m not sure how I want to attempt it yet but I’ve got time to figure that out.

Some very exciting choices there. A Mosquito in its silver jungle scheme is fun; and Japanese camo is often a challenge.

The scheme of the Mosquito is what enticed me to pick it up. I’m not exactly looking forward to the Japanese camo but it’s now or never I guess.

Some good choices. The Mosquito is a very beautiful aircraft, but, to be honest, the F-86D isn’t too far short.

I figured the Mosquito would go over well. The F-86 will always be a favorite. I’m looking forward to this build.
