Isn’t it great how a school project for your child becomes a school project for you? My son is in kindergarten this year and they are starting a project called “From Here to There”. This is a postcard project where they collect postcards to display. His list so far consists of Oregon, Idaho, and Colorado. Here is where your help is needed. If you are generously willing, my son and I would appreciate it greatly if you could send him a postcard. They can be blank or you can write a message to the class. When it comes down to it, we will be happy for anything. So if you are willing to help out, you can send them to the address below.

Thank you to all who participate with this project! Our other project is going well. The wooden Fokker is coming along nicely. The fuselage is together and we will get the wings put on today after he gets out of school.

Will send one from Cape Town, South Africa. With our postal service in shambles I hope the card makes in, but will give it a try.

I’m currently in Santiago, but as luck would have it I’ll be in Valparaiso, Chile tomorrow. I can’t resist the irony of that, so expect a card from that OTHER Valparaiso.

You’re most welcome. We just wrote on the back of the card, and it should be in the mail tomorrow (from the hotel), or perhaps in the postal system by Monday.

Jackson should receive a second postcard from Cape Town, South Africa (posted Monday)… Good luck with your joint projects!!
PS Please be patient and bear in mind, unlike email, snailmail takes a loooong time to travel from the tip of Africa to anywhere else in the world… 🙂 🙂

Is it too late to send a postcard? I just saw this post. I will send one from Florida tomorrow, regardless 🙂

The project is over but they are still displaying them. He gets them all afterwards too so it will be a great addition to his collection. Thank you!

How did it turn out? To quote from another forum I visit, “Photos, or it didn’t happen.” Your Son must have an amazing collection. How many continents?

We don’t know for sure yet. We had a tremendous response from readers and family. One person sent in one from 1908. They are still displaying them at his school and I think they all come home soon. I will be doing another post showing them all. From what I know, there should be at least five continents represented.
