MiG-29 Fulcrum

Fujimi’s MiG-29 took me way longer than I had wished for. Procrastination was the killer of this build. Painting this kit was another “out of my comfort zone” task to take on. The preparation for each color was time consuming and tedious. As with the Stuka, the work was worth it. The digital scheme is an eye catcher, that’s for sure. This is definitely one that I will try again. Next time I will approach it a little differently. For one, I’ll use a straight edge to draw and cut the many lines. I did this one all freehand and it does show. I’m still happy with the results, but I want to make the next one look better.

  1. A true modeler is never satisfied with what he has built. There is always something nagging him. I truly enjoy reading your anecdotes.

  2. This is really gorgeous. All that hard work paid off. Did you mask it to do the digital camo? I must confess I’m not familiar with the insignia. What nation is that?

  3. Certainly competition standard. This is an excellent example of the Fulcrum and would grace any ipms competition. Well done.
